Marissa & Ryan
(The OC)
Current status: Not together (Marissa is dead ;) )
The Beginning: Ryan moved to the OC and was instantly smitten: his next-door neighbour Marissa seemed to be the perfect girl, although slightly spoiled.
Course of the Relationship: Marissa was seeing Luke who was cheating on her, so she took an overdose of painkillers. Ryan saved her and they became a couple. When Marissa spends more time with the mentally ill Oliver, Ryan gets jealous. Although nothing happens between Marissa and Oliver, she and Ryan break up because of trust issues. Ryan spents time with his old girlfriend Theresa, who gets pregnant but tells him she miscarried when Ryan returns to the OC. Marissa and Ryan get closer again, eventually getting back together. Ryan's brother Trey gets out of jail, tries to rape Marissa, causing strain on their relationship. Trey almost gets killed, but survives. They break up again and Marissa begins to date the sinister Volchok.
The End & Future: Volchok wants money from Ryan and Marissa. When Ryan drives Marissa to the aitport, Volchok rams their car, causing a fatal accident. Marissa dies in Ryan's arms.

When I fell in love with them: Just at the beginning: This Cinderella story the ohther way round: Ryan, the mysterious bad boy pining for the beautifal, complicated girl.
Why I like them: It's a tragic love story and an on-off thing. They are very different, but when they are together, they are perfect for each other. Although they split up pretty often, they somehow know that they are meant for each other, finding their way back to each other. They are also very easy on the eye.
Best Moment: It's been a while since I watched OC, but I think it was when Ryan saved her inn Tijuana.
Saddest Moment: Probably her death or their breakup after the whole Oliver-story.

Why Nr.18? I love them even more than the other OC couple (Summer & Seth), but Marissa's attitude is sometimes hard to bear.
