Is this the season?

Ever since I've started to watch Bones back in 2009 (Read HERE why) I have been obsessed with the show and most importantly with the Booth-Brennan relationship. I guess a majority of the fans of this show watch the show because they're intrigued by the Booth-Brennan dynamic, the will-they-won't-they and the possibility of a romance. At least I do.
Because of that, this article (LINK) has me all giddy and excited, although it says nothing which hasn't been said before. I knew that they were split in the writers' room, otherwise they would have gone either way by now. And they've got to tease us and let us think it's going to happen. But somehow I feel the finale of this season could actually be it. Maybe even more than the finale of last season. And the season before.
Why?
  • They have to get Brennan and Booth together some time. And if they don't get picked up for another season (which hopefully doesn't happen) they really have to do this this season
  • They had this amazing Brennan-episode which has to change something, right? Booth knows, Brennan knows, Hannah knows, it's all out in the open
  • It would be a wonderful sweepstakes episode
  • Hannah has long overstayed her welcome and I think the producer realize that the arc has gone on wayyyyy to long. Time for something new.
  • They need to get back to the old Booth-Brennan dynamic and add more scenes of the squints. And more dramatic cases, the sniper one is a good start.
  • It feels right. I know, Moonlighting-curse, but come on, it's been six seasons. Even if it gets boring after they get together (which will never ever be the case) you only have to do one or two more seasons until the show has run its course anyway...
  • Even House did it (LINK), at the end of their 6th season. Take a hint!
  • It would be epic.
And now, I'll just link my post of Bones' five-year anniversary last summer (LINK) Here's to hoping!

Is Bolivia / Altlivia pregnant? Spoilers and rumors

It's a great day for procrastination and as I should study for a big test next week, I've (of course ) been surfing the Internet, checking on facebook, reading articles, etc. And as it turns out, this is actually an eventful day with spoilers on one of my favourite shows: Fringe.
Yesterday, this little article here (LINK) caught my eye, especially this part:

The biggest tease that I can offer you is that this love affair between Peter and Olivia, which involved another Olivia, has not ended," says Nicole. "You're going to get your first hint about what it means in the first episode back, at the very end. And if you blink you'll miss it. It's something at the very, very end if the episode — a little trigger — and it [points to] something that happens in the future. It's going to link the universes in a way that they have never been linked before.
(Copied From: http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/01/fringe-latest-from-tv-guide-13th-jan.html#ixzz1AxAFv3J7)

I immediately thought: Bolivia is pregnant. Honestly, first thought. The part about "blink and you'll miss it": I bet someone's not feeling too well. And "linked in a way they have never been linked before" means a child, I'm sure. My second thought was: Yeah, but Bolivia and Peter are both from the other side, so it's not that special, what if our Olivia is pregnant? But then I remembered they haven't had sex (yet), so it's really going to be Bolivia.
Then there was also this: (LINK)

Basically, there are 12 women who could be pregnant and Olivia is in there, too.

Altlivia Dunham (Anna Torv), Fringe

Realize, how they put "Altlivia" in there? Why would they do that if it wasn't true? Of course one of the other women could be pregnant, but let's break this down:

  • Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez), Grey's Anatomy: Most likely, could coincide with the "big news" she has for Arizona. If I had to chose between her and Altlivia, I'd take her.
  • Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), The Vampire Diaries: Don't think so. Too young.
  • Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), Glee: Don't know. And I don't watch Glee.
  • Gloria Delgado-Pritchett (Sofia Vergara), Modern Family: Same as with Glee
  • Holly Flax (Amy Ryan), The Office: Same as with Glee
  • Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan), How I Met Your Mother: Pretty, pretty please? But why should it create drama with the characters she loves?
  • Remy "Thirteen" Hadley (Olivia Wilde), House: No, she's probably just sick.
  • Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski), Chuck: Yeah, don't thinks so. They still have to work out the whole marriage thing.
  • Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively), Gossip Girl : Possible, would fit with the "characters" but improbable. A baby would be so misplaced on this show.
  • Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), True Blood: Same as with Glee
  • Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Bones: Did she even have sex in the last year?
So, if it isn't a character from one of the shows I don't watch (crosses fingers), it's probably either Lilly, Callie or Olivia. And please let it be Lilly...
Although that's more and more unlikely because today, I woke up to this: (LINK)

I'm a Vancouver Fringe fan, and as often happens in cases like this, I know people who work on the show. I have a MAJOR spoiler for you all that I've been sitting on for about a month now out of respect for the people who shared it with me. Now that I'm getting signs that it's about to start leaking for real, I'm going to let it out myself.
Alt-Livia is pregnant and we'll be finding out about it coming up pretty soon. The episode in which we learn this was in post-production about a month ago so it should be airing in the near future .
(Copied From: http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/01/fringe-major-storyline-rumor.html#ixzz1AxBGkB5s)

Apparently, it could really be true, Or someone else put 1 and 1 together, got 3 (as did I) and thinks this could be a cool way for some controversy. I really hope so, as I'm so not on board with this.
I mean, come on, a baby? Is that even possible? And what about Peter and Olivia? I didn't like when he was sleeping with the enemy and now he's supposed to have a baby with her? It's a lame plot device and a baby would just be very annoying to have on a show like Fringe. And poor Olivia. She's gonna be devastated.
I'm not quite sure what to think of this. I can't change it (as with THIS) but I'm not really happy about it. Maybe this will be a good storyline, but a big part of me thinks that this will mean the end for Peter and Olivia. Olivia won't be able to deal with it and Pter's going to take on responsibility and go to the other universe (maybe). This oculd change the show forever.
We'll see what happens. And that little glimpse at the end of the next episode (next Friday) will be examined very carefully. Let's hope it's something completely different....

House Spoilers

It's that time of the year again when (finally) after a long break for the actors and fortunately only a small break for us, shows start shooting again. I'm not yet caught up with recapping all my shows and I still want to do a season wrap-up for most of them, but there will be some random news and spoilers over the next few months in my blog. Because every tidbit (I love this word) of information is valuable.
On June 14th, House started shooting again and yesterday we got those two pictures:

(Source: LINK)

There's not much on this photos except that there's House and Cuddy and what looks like Cuddy and House on his motorbike (mini-Squee).
Then, today, I innocently turned on my computer, just to do some work and to occupy myself while Germany lost against Serbia in the World Cup and I was hit with 69 (!) set photos. You can check them out over here: LINK
Some of them seem to be behind-the-scenes shots, I guess. Lisa Edelstein eating, walking with her dogs and every photo with crew members or cell phones or script pages. But there are of course some that look like episode stills. I just want to copy two or three pictures that made me squee so much my mother though I was finally completely crazy:

I can't even... form...words. So cute.

Oh, and then there's this (from Ausiello: LINK)

Question: Word on the street is that House started filming its seventh season on June 14. Other word on the street is you want to be voted Sexiest Celeb Vegetarian of 2010. If you can give me some scoop about the former, I might just help you out with the latter. —Janine
Ausiello: You’ve got yourself a deal. Unconfirmed buzz suggests that Huddy fans will be in a state of continuous orgasm throughout House‘s season premiere this fall.

Of course there is going to be "the discussion" this summer: "Oh, they're going to ruin House with all this couple-crap." It's the same discussion that took place before last season's sex scene turned out to be a dream. And even before that: Don't get House together with anyone. Don't get House together with Cuddy. And...blah...blah...blah
What's my opinion on that?
Well, for one, I don't even know why everyone's so worried about how "this will ruin House". First of all, I have complete trust in the writers. They gave us so many amazing episodes and managed to do so many good storylines. And for a few episodes we even and House together with Stacy. Did that ruin the show? Don't think so. And it will be interesting to see a House-Cuddy relationship. Don't worry, non-shippers, it's probably not going to last long. Just let us have those few moments of joy.

Furthermore, happy House could be a change and I don't even think he's even going to be that happy. He's House and he won't change over night. Remember, he hasn't been Mr. Happy before his accident. And now he's off drugs he's also not exactly a ray of sunshine. Everyone was worried he'd change a lot, he didn't. "People don't change" to quote House himself.
And finally: I think House deserves a few moments of happiness and it will be interesting to see him trying. This is not going to be a cutesy, happy relationship, I'm sure. The writers know what they're doing and it's going to be a relationship between two adults who have their own problems but who try to find happiness. I'm going to close with a Cuddy quote: "I just need to know if you and I can work" Let's see what will happen.

All in all? I can't wait for September!!!!

Oh, one more:

Let's NOT do the time warp again!

Okay, that's an easy one, but it happened on Desperate Housewives and I just read this (LINK):

"Battlestar Galactica did it. Desperate Housewives did it. And now yet another popular show is considering utilizing the increasingly-familiar plot device known as the time warp and fast-forwarding all of its stories! Which one? I’d love to tell you, but this is a blind item. So all you’ll get out of me are the following clues:

1. If it happens, the time shift will occur between this season’s finale and next season’s premiere.

2. If it happens, it’ll be because, I’m told, the network wanted to shake up the show and its characters, opening doors to new stories and closing doors on old ones.

3. If it happens… I’ll (hopefully) be telling you about it in the next few weeks.

Sorry, that’s all you get. Well, that, and the chance to speculate below. What still-popular program needs the kinda shot in the arm that only being shot forward in time could provide? Hmm…"

It's from Michael Ausiello; one of his regular blind items. Problem Nr.1: They almost never get solved, so I don't expect any solution any time soon. Problem Nr. 2: I HATE it already. I don't want a time jump. Not on one of my shows. They are usually pretty poorly executed and I hate that they just cut out a part of the story. It makes us realize it's a show and I don't want that. You know what I mean?
And it could be on one of my shows. Let's take a look at my dramas:

Bones:
I would hate it most if it'd happen on Bones. Please no. And there are certain clues it could very well be.
Pro: Apparently, Booth and Brennan have plans to leave for the Army and Somalia respectively for a year. There is also major change and turmoil in the finale, which would fit the one year time jump. (Read also HERE on my thoughts on the finale).
Contra: It would be a horrible creative decision. Bones is about a slowly evolving relationship. A time jump would just put a crimp on Booth and Brennan's relationship. Plus, I would hate it. Just saying. And is this really considered a drama?

Grey's Anatomy:
I'd be okay with it, but I still just want it to go on normally.
Pro: Would fit and it could move some stories along. A MerDer baby could be born. And Shonda promised a game changer episode.
Contra: They'd have to jump time on Private Practice, too. And their finale is one week before the Grey's Anatomy finale, so they would do that earlier and everyone would already know.

Private Practice:
Pro: Basically the same as Grey's Anatomy.
Contra: Same as Grey's Anatomy.

Castle:
Pro: ???
Contra: Highly unlikely as it is just in its second year.

House:
Pro: The producers love to go unconventional ways (Broken, the season 4 and 5 finale) and the formula got a little stale this season.
Contra: Same as Bones: Show about the development of a character. A time jump would put continuity at risk.

Gossip Girl:
Pro: There's talk about a shocking season finale and they need to do something as it is getting a little boring.
Contra: Actually don't find a reason other than not liking it.

I actually think that (if it even is one of my shows and not some other show) it could either be Gossip Girl or Grey's/Private Practice. The hints hint at a show that has recently been a little boring and a multi-character show. They want to close some story-lines (why would they close Booth-Brennan and Hodgins-Angela on Bones?), so that would fit Grey's, PP and Gossip Girl. Hope it's neither of those, but if I had to pick one, I'd probably pick Gossip Girl. Please not Bones or House. And finally, the article is a little vague: Will it actually happen or are they just thinking about it? Hopefully some other show or just thinking about it. My fingers are crossed.

Current Mood: Confused.

Bones Season Finale: Theories and Speculation

After having read many, many forum posts, reviews, recaps and a lot of spoilers and thoughts about the season finale, my head's buzzing. And to finally have some peace and get on with my essay, due Monday, I decided to write down how I think the finale (and the episodes before that) will go down.

What do we know?
  • The case will be about a hoarder who suffocated to death
  • There will be a wedding
  • Sweets and Daisy got engaged
  • It's called: "The Beginning in the End"
  • There are some spoilers about Booth going to the Army and Brennan going to Thailand
  • Hodgins and Angela are pretty civil right now
  • Booth is trying to move on with that Fish lady
  • The finale is "the logical consequence of the 100th episode"
  • Apparently, there will be a cliffhanger
  • There will be a gravedigger trial one or two episodes prior
  • There will be big changes, turmoil etc.
  • It's gonna be "satisfying" (for whom I ask)
  • Angela's dad and Booth's son are there
  • A rumored airport scene

The B-Story:

This is the one part of the episodes I have a clear vision on. Somehow. Or rather I can't really imagine it could be otherwise based on these spoilers:

Sweets and Daisy got engaged, but I don't think they're going to get married in the season finale. I think there will be wedding preparations for them, but then they'll decide it will all go too fast. I predicted they would break up HERE and I stand by it. They will break up and then there'll be a wedding. Guess who's getting married then? Angela and Hodgins who will have reunited shortly before that, presumably during the gravedigger trial when Angela will remember that time Hodgins was buried alive and realize she loves him. And their wedding was already the season 3 finale; they can have the season 5 finale, too. Cam will just be there, with her new date. So, once again:

  • Daisy and Sweets break up
  • Hodgins and Angela get married instead (hence her father)

The A Story:

Booth will date the fishlady for several episodes and become more and more absent. Brennan will painfully notice that. The gravedigger case will be emotionally hard for them and bring back memories. Brennan will notice that Booth has pulled away when he's not that there for her during that case. Booth will ge the chance to work in the Army and he's planning to take that chance. He has split up with the fishlady, but decided to get away because it's just too painful for him to stay there. The case with the hoarder has gotten him to thinking that he has to let go or he will suffocate. Brennan thinks about taking that job in Thailand after she hears he's thinking about the Army job and there will be a lot of chaos. Neither one wants to go, but both decide to go. The rest of the Jeffersonian will be devastated as this basically ends their team. Booth says good-bye to his son (that's why he's there) and to all the Jeffersonians. They have decided to split up for several months. That's the turmoil and upheaval part.

From here on, it could go several different ways:

1) At the end of the episode, Brennan will decide she's ready, tell him she loves him and wants a chance and they will kiss. The episode will end with them kissing. Season 6 will deal with them as a couple.

2) At the end of the episode, Brennan will finally decide she's ready to take a chance on Booth and she will actually make it to the airport in time (or non-cliché: make it to his apartment). She will kiss him, Booth leaves because he is so confused and season 5 will end. The season 6 premiere will have him back earlier as planned and they have to deal with the kiss. Uncomfortable episodes. Then, they will take the plunge.

3) At the end of the episode, Brennan will finally decide that she's ready to take a chance on Booth, but he has already left or just leaves without saying a word. They go on their respective trips for several months and then reunite in season 6. Business as usual and another season of tension.

4) At the end of the episode, Brennan won't decide that she want's to take a chance and lets him fly off. He will return several months later. They go on their respective trips for several months and then reunite in season 6. Business as usual and another season of tension.

Scenario 1) is of course the one most fans want, but that's the main reason I think it's not going to happen. Have to keep them apart for Bones to work. Itncould work though and be wonderful and gratifying. Main reason I think this scenario and the second one could be true? The finale is called "The Beginning in the End", meaning there will be a new beginning, possibly of their relationship. As the 4th season finale was called "The End in the Beginning" and they were making out and were a couple, and a kiss is the beginning of being a couple, this could be their beginning.
Scenario 2) is the one I think is most likely if they go for a positive finale. I don't think it will be 1) if Brennan decides to do it, because that would be too cliché. But 2) is definitely possible.. 1) and 2) would be the logical step after the 100th episode - when the logical step is a positive one.

Scenario 3) is probably the one I would chose if someone made me decide. I think Booth is likely to be the one who doesn't want her anymore. Or maybe he has already left and Brennan is too late. I guess I'd also pick this one because then we get another season of them pining for each other which I think the producers and writers want to keep the fans interested. It's the main selling point for the show.
Scenario 4) would be devastating and not very logical. Booth would just leave and there would be no character development. Something in my hear tells me that could happen, but I don't hope or think so. Too much build-up. Something has to happen.

So, all in all, I guess Brennan will realize she wants to take a chance but she will be too late to stop him. When he comes back, we will have a season 6 full of Brennan trying to get him to notice she has changed and Booth trying to live a new life or maybe even coming back from his trip with a girlfriend. Who knows? That would be a game changer.

Can't really decide between 2) or 3). Hopefully 2). But we'll see. Can't wait.

MAJOR SPOILER!!!

So, I've just been reading up on my many, many favourite shows and came across the spoiler that has most Gossip Girl fans raging and flailing. Me too. A little bit.

These are the "facts" (and I use this term loosely as nothing ever happens as predicted):

Last night, TV columnist Kristin from E! posted this:

Do not under any circumstances read this item if you love Gossip Girl and you don't want to be spoiled for a huge/major/giant tragic plot twist that's coming toward the end of the season.
No one is getting killed off, but what does happen is nearly as bad as a character death. Still want to know? Really? OK, but don't say we didn't warn you...
Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) are breaking up.
If you lurk on the right message boards, you've already heard this awful news, but I can tell you now that the rumors are true, confirmed and, well, killing me.
My sources at the CW aren't even trying to make me feel better about this horrible twist. Insiders tell me, "It's a bad, bad breakup." Ugh!
Apparently, after almost a full season of near bliss between Upper East Side soul mates Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf, when the happy romantic scenes are finally snatched away from us, the culprit will be Chuck.
I'm told Chuck does "something horrible," and that everyone is going hate him for it. (Oh, Charles, you were on your way to being the paterfamilias of Gossip Girl's little gang, and now this! Betrayal and disappointment at every turn!)
Jack Bass (Desmond Harrington) is also implicated in the end of Chair, but of course, we'd expect nothing less from the likes of that villain.
No word yet on how long this relationshipocalypse will last, but apparently it begins unfolding in either episode 17 ("Inglourious Bassterds") or episode 18 ("The Unblairable Lightness of Being"), both of which are set to air in mid-April.
Let the weeping and rending of garments begin. (I'll start. Whaaaaa!!) Hit the comments with your thoughts on this terrible turn of events.
(LINK)

And the next day, her frenemy Ausiello over at EW confirmed in his "Ask Ausiello":

The rumors are true: Chuck and Blair will hit a significant (and potentially irreparable) rough patch at the end of the season.
(LINK)

I guess, I'll have to start with some weeping: WHYYYYY!
WHYYYYYYYYY!
Okay, enough.
Not yet: WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Okay, now I'm okay. No seriously, I'm actually pretty calm which surprises even me as they are one of my favourite current on-screen couple. But that's mainly because I kinda expected something like this and I don't the break-up will last. Let's see what I wrote in August in my predictions

Chuck and Blair will be together for at least 12 episodes, struggling with trust issues Chuck’s philandering and Blair’s bitchy side. They will probably split up mid-season for some time and get back together. I can’t predict the ending of season 3, but I hope they will be together.
(LINK)

Well, I was right. (Side note: I also predicted a couple at college. PSYCHIC!) And that's the main reason I'm pretty calm. And I'm actually of the opinion that this might be a good thing: Their best scenes are when they are apart (Point and case: The end of season 2, episodes 6,7,8 in season 2. Basically most of season 1). Recently, they have been happy, which is cool too, but they're so dramatic when they're apart. And now we know they love each other and I'm a firm believer in "Love conquers all". So, I guess this is going to be heart-breaking and awesome at the same time. They're going to get back together eventually, anyway.
The only thing that really pisses me off: The writers promised they would keep them together. But now the ratings are going down and they probably thought: Well, what were we doing right last season? Chuck and Blair drama. And they're actually right; they're awesome.
So, partly sad and shocked, partly excited and can't wait for the new episodes.

Gossip Girl is back March 8th.

The Big Bang Theory: "The Gothowitz Deviation" (03x03)

I don't know if it's just me, but I have a feeling this "Blind Item" from Ausiello (LINK) could be about John Galecki (Leonard) and Kaley Cuoco (Penny). They have been together for three episodes now, but somehow they don't have any love scenes at all. They are supposed to be in love, but they didn't touch each other once in this episode. That would be very, very sad because I really like them.
The episode this week was very good and very funny. On the one side, Raj and Wolowitz pretended to be Goths (or "Lost Boys") to pick up girls in a Goth club. They had even tatoo sleeves (hihi) and a lot of eyeliner. They actually managed to pick to girls up (well, more one girl and the other one just came as an extra and kept repeating "Not that anyone cares"). They then went to a tatoo studio, but couldn't go through with it. I loved Raj here: Girl: "What are you going to get, Raj?" Raj: "With my luck, Hepatitis." And when the girls discovered they were fake Goths and Wolowitz tried to convince them with honesty, they still left. It would have been pretty cheesy, if they didn't. Eventually, they went home alone and on the ride home, they made up what they would tell the others (A threesome for both of them, teeheehee)
Meanwhile, Sheldon was annoyed by Penny's presence and thus tried to train her with chocolates to behave better. It was very funny to see Sheldon try to train her like a dog and actually succeeding. Of course, Leonard realized what Sheldon was doing and tried to stop him. But he was also tempted because it was a safe procedure and Penny's annoying habits actually stopped. He still told Sheldon he didn't want it, but in the end, he was the one being trained when Penny got what she wanted by promising sex. It was so funny to see Sheldon wondering if anyone else had discovered that sex would work even better than chocolate. I laughed so hard.
All in all, I really enjoyed this episode because there was a lot of Sheldon vs. Penny and Wolowitz and Raj are always funnywhen they try to pick up women.

Best Moment: Sheldon spraying Leonard water in the face: "Bad Leonard"
Weirdest Moment: Almost no Penny-Leonard contact. They're supposed to be in love!
Favourite Quote:
Wollowitz: "I want to stop at Walgreens and pick up some more eyeliner."
Leonard: "They're gonna get beaten up at that club."
Penny: "They're gonna get beaten up at Walgreens."

House MD (9/21) (Season 6)

I think House might be the show I look forward to most. It's probably my favourite show right now. And I can't wait for the new season, especially after the season five finale which upset and fascinated me very much last May.

Where were we?

Last season was one of the most controversial and interesting ones yet. Dealing with the aftermath of Amber’s death, House tried reconciling with Wilson. His father died (and we found out it was not his biological father) and House was taken hostage. Cuddy decided to adopt a baby, shocking House who didn’t seem to pleased with this fact. Thirteen and Foreman became a couple, tackling Thirteen’s Huntington disease together. When Cuddy eventually got a baby, House accepted it grudgingly. Kutner killed himself and House had no idea why, a fact he couldn’t accept. He was looking for answers, but didn’t find any. Cameron and Chase decided to get married. And then House started hallucinating: Amber, his best friend’s dead girlfriend was suddenly back and House questioned his own mind and senses. House tried everything to regain control and decided detoxing from vicodine – with Cuddy’s help. In the second-to-last episode, House got clean and then slept with Cuddy. In the shocking finale, we experienced a happy, clean House but in the last ten minutes everything was deconstructed: House had been hallucinating all along. He didn’t detox, he didn’t sleep with Cuddy. He was shell-shocked and decided to get himself admitted to a mental home.

What’s next?

  • There isn't much information out there yet, except for the two-hour season opener
  • Apparently, Foreman takes over the team for some time, bringing back Cameron and Chase
  • The first episode deals with House's time in the mental facility. He makes out with a patient's cousin, tries to get back his medical license and "turns the ward upside down"
  • House will have some difficulties going back in his old job
  • He will stay clean for some time, but how long?

My Predictions (aka. Wild Guesses)

I'm still in shock after the season finale, so I really have no ideas, only wild guesses. I guess House will spent at least 3-5 episodes in the mental home and his team will have to run to him and ask him for advice, until he can leave the home, either a little bit happier or the staff realized they can't help him. House might realize that it just has been too much for him and open up more to other people (Wilson, Cuddy) but eventually, he probably won't change too much. As for Huddy, I guess she will visit him and maybe they will flirt a little, but nothing big will happen for at least the next 12 episodes. I predict a major event somewhere mid-season, hopefully bringing them together more. The team will just keep on existing, Foreman will become boss straining his relationship with 13, Cameron and Chase will be happy, Taub... well, he's also there ;) Well, that's pretty much it (It's sooo hard to predict House, we'll see what will happen)

My wishes for season 6:

  • A satisfying solution of the House-mental home story-arc
  • Less Foreman and Thirteen, more Cameron, Chase and Taub
  • HUDDY, we were so close this year. Him imagining his happy future with her has to count for something. I'd say, they should have sex for real, maybe as part of House's change
  • More clinic patients, more ethical dilemmas
  • More Wilson-House interaction

Bones (9/17) (Season 5)

Next up: Bones. The next week is going to be amazing: Two of my shows are returning and then, to top it off, the Emmys are on Saturday. I hope both premieres are worth the wait (it's been almost four months)

Where were we?

Last season, Bones and Booth’s relationship got closer and closer. Booth got kidnapped by the gravedigger and Brennan was pretty worried. Later, she decided that she wanted a baby and Booth seemed to be the best possible sperm donor. But then Booth was diagnosed with a brain tumour and he had to get brain surgery right away. In his hallucinatory dreams, he imagined Brennan to be his wife, but when he woke up, he didn’t seem to remember who she was.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team had to cope with the fact that Zack was gone. Several new assistants joined the team, none of them stayed long. Hodgins and Angela broke up and Cam adopted her ex-boyfriend’s orphaned daughter. All of them where shocked when they learned of Booth’s brain tumour, especially Sweets who we learned was abused as a child.

What’s next? (SPOILER ALERT)

  • The premiere picks up six weeks after the finale, with Booth trying to recover from brain surgery (but having major problems) and Brennan, who has been away for some time, reuniting.
  • Apparently, Booth and Bones are going to kiss in the first episode and he is proclaiming his love for her.
  • Angela will sleep with someone we already know, causing trouble with Brennan
  • Cindy Lauper guest-stars as a psychic

My Predictions (aka. Wild Guesses)

Bones and Booth will continue their dance and this time they will get closer and closer. There will be one or two kisses but everything will move very, very slowly. In the season finale, one of them might finally confess his/her love. It will probably be Booth.
Jack and Angela will get back together mid-season, probably not dating exclusively for some time because Angela needs her freedom. Cam will get a love interest, perhaps Booth’s brother and will struggle with her adopted daughter. Sweets and his girlfriend will split.
Mid-season, they will decide which assistant/intern they will take. I guess it’s going to be either Nigel-Murray or the blonde one, Wendell.

My wishes for season 5:

  • A satisfying solution of the finale
  • Booth and Bones should finally take the last step. A relationship can work. There will still be sexual tension and complications. Just go for it, Hart Hanson.
  • Angela and Jack should get back together, I love them as a couple.
  • More screen-time and a good story for Cam and Sweets.
  • Bring back Zack and Wyatt for some episodes. Those episodes are almost always great.
  • Finally: Many, many good and interesting cases

Gossip Girl (9/14) (Season 3)

In two weeks, the first of my new shows returns and I couldn’t be more excited. It will be pretty stressful to keep updated with 8 shows on air, maybe even nine, but it’s also very exciting and thrilling (Plus: I’m not going back to college until October, so I have some time)

Gossip Girl is the first of my shows to come back (September 14):

Where were we?

With most of our favourite characters graduating high school and making plans for college, the second season ended with their graduation ceremony and the revelation that Gossip Girl will follow them to college.
Dan and Serena were gradually becoming brother and sister rather than lovers with Rufus and Lilly getting married. While Dan got accepted at NYU rather than Stanford, Serena (who chose Brown) teamed up with bad boy Carter Baizen who found her long-lost father in the Fijis.
Vanessa and Nate, although separated (again), set off on a trip through Europe. Bate will attend Columbia University; Vanessa will also attend NYU this fall. Before setting off to Europe, Vanessa and Dan met a young man (Scott) who is probably Lily’s and Rufus’ son.
After two years of back and forth, Chuck finally said “I love you” to Blair and the two kissed in a New York street. Chuck is going to be the CEO of Bass industries while Blair decided to go to NYU where she will probably be roommates with Georgina, who’s back from military school.

What’s next? (SPOILER ALERT)

  • Chuck and Blair are going strong, but apparently they keep playing games: Chuck is flirting with other women but Blair is catching him again and again
  • Nate is dating Bree Buckley whose family is a rival of the Van der Bilts
  • Vanessa is dating Scott, Dan's half-brother
  • Scott comes in Rufus and Lily's life and apparently he is welcomed with open arms
  • Serena is a celebrity now and has an affair with Carter Baizen
  • Nothing is known of Jenny and Eric

My Predictions (aka. Wild Guesses)

Chuck and Blair will be together for at least 12 episodes, struggling with trust issues Chuck’s philandering and Blair’s bitchy side. They will probably split up mid-season for some time and get back together. I can’t predict the ending of season 3, but I hope they will be together.
Vanessa and Scott, Dan’s half-brother, will get together and split again, probably because of Nate who will have an affair with Bree Buckley, a new character. Nate will struggle with his family and trying to find his own identity.
Dan will become the nerdy king of college, but only for some time until Blair takes over again. Serena will dump Carter Baizen but probably find her father, which will strain Rufus and Lilly’s relationship. Lilly and Rufus will still get married and stay together.

My wishes for season 3:

  • A lot of Chuck and Blair and a worthy realization of their relationship: I hope they don’t break up this wonderful couple over some minor incident. I don’t say they can’t break up (for a while), but it should be justified.
  • Rufus and Lilly should stay together, they’ve broken them up enough; now it’s time they stay together.
  • No more Dan and Serena (for now), let’s explore their brother-sister relationship.
  • More Eric story-lines; he’s such a cutie (You can take time from Jenny, she’s a little annoying.
  • Let’s give Nate a good story-line and prove he’s not just good-looking, but interesting, too. And keep him away from Vanessa…
  • All in all: Good story-lines, good gossip and secrets and OMG moments.

Bones Promo Season 5

It's August which means the first promos of my favourite shows are online. Today, I was particularly happy, because Bones is back, baby! ;) I absolutely love the promo, especially David and his "I'm back, baby" is soo cute. Can't wait for September.

There are also some interviews from Aussiello with the Bones cast, which practically say nothing, but they are still cute. And are TJ Thyne and Michaela holding hands back there when David speaks? Watch for yourself, here: http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/08/07/david-boreanaz-teases-sexy-bones-scene/

EDIT: According to THIS, Stephen Fry will be back this season. I love that guy.

House Promo

House is the first show this year to release a promo and I'm so happy about that. There are no news from Grey's except that they resumed to work, Gossip Girl leaked a lot of pictures but the rest is silence. So, I was so excited to see my favourite drama return.

This is the promo and I think it looks great. Kinda scary, but the two hour season premiere will be that, I think. But there is also some humour and I love the House-Wilson dialogue. It's going to be awesome. I hope there will be some new shots soon or I will get totally obsessed with this.

House, Gossip Girl Spoiler

It's 1 am in Germany and I'm still up, studying. I only have to get up at 10 tommorow, so I'd better use the time. But there's only so much time I can concentrate on Math and so I keep checking for spoilers on Watch with Kristin. This site updates Mondays, but usually around 8 pm American time which means 2 am German time. But tonight, I got lucky and so there are new spoilers:

First, after the spoiler about a casting call for a girl Chuck brings home, there was obviously some panic and so Kristin had to adress this:

Nanda in New York City: Help us, TV Gossip Girl: Do you have any good Chuck and Blair spoilers? Please?!
You Gossip Girl fans can all exhale: Chuck and Blair aren't breaking up any time soon.

Yippie! I mean, they won't be together for the whole season, but still. Then there was a lot about House today, which is unusal, because Ausiello is usually the one with the House spoilers and Kristin focuses on Grey's Anatomy or Private Practice:

Marika: Will Thirteen and Taub be leaving at the end of this season? They will have completed their three-year fellowships by then. Will Chase and Cameron come back, or will there be new fellows?
House executive producer David Shore says it's too early in the season to know if they're going to be introducing new characters. He says, "We don't have any plans on that. As we get closer to the end of the year we might, but I don't think we've mined everything we can with the six fellows we've had there."

Sabrina in Kentucky: Will we ever know for sure if Cuddy realizes what House imagined happened between them? Please reassure us that they won't drop this sizzling hot storyline!
As the cast teased last week, a lot of this season has to do with House (Hugh Laurie) working his way back to sanity and realizing his feelings for Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). To answer your question specifically, David Shore says, "I think she does know. Actually, we had some discussion about it. I think him standing on the balcony, screaming out 'I slept with Lisa Cuddy!' [gave it away]."

Sandra in Germany: I'd like to know if we'll see more of Cuddy as a mom in the future on House. I like the idea of her being a working mom; she could be such a good role model for women if they'd convey this storyline properly.
We asked Lisa Edelstein if she wants to see that as well, but she's more interested in the Huddy relationship than keeping up with Cuddy's baby. Lisa tells us, "I'm eager to see what they do with the House and Cuddy storyline. The baby is fine, but I don't think it's really about that. I'm sure it will be woven through, but it grounds her to have a child. I think it gives her more of a life than she had. But ultimately it's not about that, the show is not about that. The show is about the hospital and the inner relationships at the hospital."

Well, well, well! It doesn't look bad for Huddy this season! Oh, and Lisa Edelstein is such a shipper ;) Can't wait for season 6 and now I'm a little happier because I know good things will happen on Gossip Girl and House.
And I can go back to studying Math ;)
