Grey's Anatomy: "Tainted Obligation" (06x04)

After last week's merger and the paranoia and fear that went with it, this week's episode was a little less intense, but still very good.
Meredith, Lexie, their father and Derek: The main storyline this week was about Lexie, Meredith and their father. Being an alcoholic for some time, his liver failed and now he needs a new one. The irony? Lexie can’t give him a part of her liver because she isn’t a match, but Meredith probably could. Meredith on the other hand has made only bad experiences with her father and thus has no connection to him. I thought it was kinda insensitive when she didn’t even know that her other sister’s name was Molly and not Holly, but that’s how she distances herself. Lexie then comes to Meredith and begs her to do it for her and Meredith still thinks about it. She then decides to do it when a patient dies. She tells her father she has made the first step, but she mainly does it for Lexie. I loved that they grew so much closer. She now acts like a big sister. Plus, it’s a nice way to cover up Ellen Pmpeo’s pregnancy. And we got to hear Derek call her his “wife” for the first time. Squeee.
Alex and Izzie: Meanwhile, Alex wants Izzie to move out of the trailer when he sees a bear one morning. Of course, Izzie doesn’t believe and furthermore tells him that she doesn’t want to move back to Meredith’s because she can’t go backwards. I loved the bear scene. Alex cry was hilarious. But Izzie has some other problems: She has a patient with Hunt and she oversteps boundaries. She doesn’t act like a doctor, but rather like a patient and when the patient dies, she is devastated. Hunt tells her that she has to be a doctor again.
Christina and Mark: Christina still needs a mentor and this week she tries to work with Sloan. And Sloan has an interesting patient: An older man who wants a penile implant. At first, Alex is on this case, but then Christina gets it (well she wanted it without knowing what she wanted. Of course, this resulted in hilarious situations, but Christina was kinda awesome about it. Best quote from her: “Mamma needs to cut!”
Well, all in all, this was a pretty good episode and I enjoyed it. Can’t wait for the merger next week.

Best Moment: Christina gets tricked into a penile implant surgery. It was so funny, when Owen, Mark and Derek were laughing and how the old man told Christina that Alex was baout to shave his groin.
Weirdest Moment: The whole penis story was awkward at times. And the way his son and daughter-in-law treated the man.
