This week's episode was not as good as last week's, but still a very good one. A lot happened, a lot of change.
Jenny and Damien, Rufus and Lilly: Jenny was still trying to get Damien to be interested in her, but all he seemed to be interested was getting drugs to some clients at a party. He snuck in one morning and of course, Lily caught him. Because, she's still in a fight with Rufus (and they're not reconciling any time soon), she called him and Jenny got in a lot of trouble. Even more so when she showed her dad the drugs. Damien actually stood up for her and Jenny decided she wouldn't go back to Brooklyn and instead just take off with Damien. We'll see how that will work out. It's always kinda weird to see a parent trying to set boundaries because you forget that those are kids and Jenny's 16.
Dan and Vanessa: I actually liked Dan and Vanessa's storyline this week. Those two belong together, back in old Brooklyn. Dan wanted things to go back to normal after he told her he loved her and showed up in her dorm. Vanessa was really awkward and told him she was still with Paul, that weird guy from the Lady Gaga episode. So, Dan asked some girl to the party and things got awkward really fast. Especially as they started kissing behind some wall. They fought a little and then slept together. And now they're dating. I actually think they are a perfect fit.
Chuck and Blair, Nate and Serena: Chuck was still under the weather because Elizabeth told him she didn't know anything about his mother. At least that's what Blair thought. She was worried that he was shutting her out. And she was right: Chuck tracked the woman down and found out that she was actually his mother. And he didn't want to know her. Nate and Serena (especially Serena as Chuck's search reminded her of her search gor her father) meddled and got the woman to show up at a restaurant, but Chuck just gave her a check and told her to leave. Elizabeth left and Chuck acted all cold and, well, Chuck-y^^ , but later he told Blair he didn't want her to leave. Serena talked Elizabeth in coming back and then Chuck and she got to talking and actually connected. The story so far: Chuck's mother didn't love Bart (who would) and wanted to give the baby up for adoption. Bart couldn't do it and gave her money to stay away from him and the baby. Sounds plausible, but somehow I still believe that she isn't his mother. Loved the Blair and Chuck scenes, though.
All in all, this was a good episode, although I still don't believe the mother yet. We'll see what will happen. Can't wait.
Best Moment:
Nate: "But Bart told you your mother died in childbirth!"
Chuck: "He also told me kids wear suits to kindergarten and blue-chip stocks are great for birthday gifts."
Weirdest Moment: As much as I love Chuck and Blair, Blair moaning was a little TMI
Favourite Quote:
Serena: "Our drinks would be nice, maybe some bread for the table."
Blair: "You haven't eaten bread since middle school."
