If anyone ever wonders why Chuck Bass is the way he is, just look at his family: His father is an a-hole, his uncle is an even bigger a-hole and his alleged mother is as shady as can be. I'm getting to a point where I can almost justify anything this poor boy does. But first things first:
Dan and Vanessa: In a very whort and very boring storyline, Dan and Vanessa tried to develop some sort of plan how to approach this whole friends with benefits thing. It was clear right from the beginning that romantic Dan would not go through with it and bingo, I was right: When Vanessa showed up in a very short dress (not even that sexy but with this cheesy sort of sexy music), he decided that he wanted her and now they're a couple. Good for them.
Jenny and Damien (and the whole Bass-Hunmphrey-Van der Woodsen-Clan plus Nate): Jenny wanted to lose her virginity to Damien. Sort of. And her father didn't want her to ever see that drug-dealer again. So, he got all the Humphreys and Van der Woodsens and even nate on Jenny.look-out and tried to keep Damien away from her. Serena tried to show her how bad Damien was, Nate called Rufus (how grown-up) and Dan... well big brother didn't do much. I gotta hand it to Jenny though: When Dan was in love with 16 everyone thought it was adorable. Damien really wanted to have sex with Jenny but when she changed her mind, he left. Classic. So, Jenny was sad and still gorunded and I was kinda sorry for her. Really glad though that Damien is gone. Meanwhile, Rufus and Lily sort-of made up, but then Lily got a call from Cece and had to leave. Is Lily the one who is sick? And Nate told Serena that he was hurt when she left after he had lost her virginity to him. Kinda cute.
Chuck and Blair: Chuck, his mother and Blair actually had a good time, but then there was a scandal: Some former enployées apparently sued Chuck for sexual harassment and to make things worse, Chuck's uncle Jack arrived. Side-note: Did he get prettier or is that just me? Anyway, he wanted the Empire, but Chuck wasn't going to give it to him. However, he started to doubt his "mother": She didn't know that his father didn't like purple (teeheeheehee) and suddenly didn't want to attend an event where Jack would be present. So, Chuck decided to get a DNA test (Why he didn't do this earlier, I'm not sure). The scandal had effects on Chuck's business, so his lawyer advised him to sign the hotel over to someone he trusts. And then the DNA test came back positive and Chuck decided to sign it over to his mother. Blair encouraged him and Chuck could finally trust his mother. But of course it was a scam and the last scenes of the episode showed Chuck's alleged mother with Jack who had wanted the hotel all along. Fake DNA! I swear. Fake mother.
Poor Chuck is going to be devastated. Other than that it was a decent episode. A little too much Jenny for my taste, but I'm excited to see what will happen with that fake mother and how Chuck will try to get back the Empire.
Best Moment:
Blair: "Not everyone's going to wait 18 years for an I love you"
Weirdest Moment: Rufus hugging Vanessa so enthusiastically. THey have a weird relationship-
Favourite Quote:
Jack: "I never realized how many sex puns you can make out of Chuck Bass."
