Bones: "The Witch in the Wardrobe" (05x20)

Squeeeeee! I did not expect that. Hodgins and Angela got married and it was perfect. I have waited for this ever since they broke up at the beginning of season four and now they finally got through with it. It was a very cute wedding, but more on that a little later. In detail.
As already mentioned, Katy Reichs wrote this episode and therefore it was heavy on the Forensics. Except of course for the wedding part. A house has burned down and a woman’s skeleton was found in the closet, in a wedding dress. Another woman was found lying under some wooden boards and it turned out that this has been murdered. The first one was over 300 years old and was in fact a witch from the Salem witch trials. Sweets found that one out. He was very excited; apparently he has a thing for witches and proved to be really helpful. He also found out that the old witch was an ancestor of another modern-day witch who was part of a witch coven. The dead young witch was actually a black witch and therefore the other witches killed her, tripping on LSD. Before they found that out, there were of course some leads that went nowhere, but eventually, they got the coven. Will they convict 15 people now? Well… that would be interesting. All in all, the case was a little bizarre but interesting and I liked it. It also set the stage for several other developments.
Firstly: Hello Clark. He’s back again so soon after 5x18? Well, you gotta love him. He did an experiment with various solvents and totally blew it, which was very funny and just generally being awesome.
Then there was some Booth and Brennan. Only some scenes, for example that they wanted to go on a witch hunt together and Booth practically whispering in her ear that you only get to see the ones you don’t want to see naked. And then of course the end scene where Booth wished her happiness was kinda cute. It was okay that they took a back stand this episode as I’m sure there’ll be plenty of scenes in the next two episodes.
Finally, there was the aforementioned wedding. Hodgins and Angela were also at the murder scene and drove back together. Hodgins drove over the middle line and the sheriff, who was very law-abiding, arrested them. It then turned out that they both had outstanding warrants and had to stay in jail. Even Cam couldn’t get them out because she felt like talking to one of the Founding Fathers. Hodgins and Angela played games, talked, gave each other back rubs (How funny was Angela moaning when Hodgins rubbed her back?) and bit by bit they realize how much they have missed each other. They replay the conversation they had two years ago, knowing they both made mistakes and then kiss. Finally!!! I’m practically jumping up and down right now. I’ve always loved them no matter what. And out of the blue they decide to get married. We got Hodgins’ middle name (Stanley), but didn’t find out about Angela’s real name (it has to be something horrible) and the best vow ever: Hodgins: “I’m your guy”. They even got rings and then the judge threw confetti (adorable) and they were married. It only took them four years… But now they’re finally happily together and I couldn’t be happier.
All in all, this was a very good and funny episode with a quirky case and one wonderful wedding. Next week: Gravedigger Trial. Have been waiting for this one for quite some time. And gravedigger is always fun.

Best Moment: Angela and Hodgins marry.
Weirdest Moment: The witch’s feet curl. What was that?
Favourite Quote:
Booth: “Want to know what I wished for?”
Brennan: “No. Doesn't matter. Completely irrelevant.”
Booth: “I wished...I wished that you could find happiness.”
Brennan: “I don't know what that means.”
Booth: “Happiness. Love, laughter, friendship, purpose. And a dance. (all the stuff, if you will)”
Brennan: “Oh. Well, then. Thank you.”

Current Mood: Squee!
