After a newborn experiences inexplicable breathing problems and liver failure, House and the team look at the baby’s mother, Abbey’s, own medical history for possible clues. When the team makes a discovery about her newborn’s health, Abbey is presented with a difficult decision that could potentially affect both her baby’s health and her own. Meanwhile, following Cuddy’s directive, House challenges Foreman and Taub to hire a female doctor to join the team. When Cuddy asks House to babysit her daughter, both House and Wilson learn a few hard lessons in parenting.

Mysteries abound when pallbearers at a funeral lose control of a surprisingly heavy casket only to have a second unknown woman tumble out along with the original deceased. When Castle and Beckett learn that the victim was a doctor at County Hospital, their investigation takes them into the world of amorous, bed-hopping physicians. Did jealousy turn to murder, or did the doctor's mysterious work outside the hospital lead to her demise? Meanwhile, Castle's relationship with Gina is challenged when she tries to bond with Alexis.
Thursday: The Big Bang Theory: "The Desperation Emanation" (04x05)
Leonard realizes he's the only one without a girlfriend, while Sheldon wants to get rid of his.

Much to her displeasure, Addison is teamed with a new oncologist, Dr. Rodriguez, to treat a newborn baby with a malignant tumor; when Violet and Sheldon visit a prison in order to interview inmates who are up for parole, Pete is highly uncomfortable as Violet tries to help a parolee; and Addison and Violet suggest Sheldon could be the solution for Amelia's needs.
