Gossip Girl: "Succeding in Bassness" (03x07)

This week's Gossip Girl was kind of a hot mess. Firstly, there were four minutes missing and that's probably why it didn't make that much sense to me and secondly - well, I don't really know what was odd, it was just odd.

Jenny and Eric: Yes, the little ones got a story this week and it was kind of interesting. As Jenny was now Queen at Constance, she had to mantain her power, even if that meant she had to "yoghurt" Eric. She insisted that she hadn't changed at all and was just playing a role, but when she was provoked by Eric, she and her girls hatched a plan. Jonathan, Eric's boyfriend got egged and that was of course bad for the blooming siblinghood. To be more precise: Eric was pissed and wouldn't speak to Jenny. And Jenny throw away her old clothes and embraced her new Upper-East-Side lifestyle. She's gonna fail again, I just see it. There's a good person somewhere udner that racoon-makeup and she will come out eventually.

Dan, Olivia and Serena: Nate convinced Dan to watch a tape of Olivia's movie - and a sex scene with her then-boyfriend. Well, Dan was pretty upset and confronted Olivia who told him that the guy wasn't her boyfriend - just for publicity. But then she admitted to Serena that he was actually (all very confusing) and went to a party with Dan where said guy would show up. And then some minutes missed and suddenly Dan and Olivia had made up and were kisisng in front of the press. And Serena, who is still working as an agent had a double agenda as she originally wanted Olivia and her ex to hook up again. I guess it was that storyline that bothered me. It was pretty out ther and confusing. I'll have to watch it whole some day again.

Chuck, Blair and Serena again: Everything this episode revolved around Chuck's club opening. He was pretty nervous because he didn't have an alcohol license yet and still pretty pissed at Blair because she made him kiss a guy. So, he asked Serena and not Blair for hepl, but Blair listened and was angry because he wanted her out of it. She tried to help him by calling in a favor from Chuck's uncle Jack and he got them an alcohol license, but Chuck was furious when he found that out. He uninvited Blair who was acting like a little girl about it, but then relaized that the alcohol license was fake. She went to the club to apologize and tell Chuck that the license was fake, but he had already discovered that and turned it upside down: The police raid was good publicity and he even made up with Blair. But, they still are unable to trust each other. Chuck even said it was the reason he didn't say he loved her. Well... I don't think so. I thought you were afraid you'd make he unhappy. But oh, well, we got some cute scenes. Serena on the other hand was pissed because she wanted to shine at the opening and Blair destroyed it and chose Chuck over her. Now they're on the outs again. This is going to be fun.

No Vanessa, little side-story with Rufus and Lilly and Halloween, but other than that it was an average episode. Weird. Hope the next one is better.

Best Moment: Chuck and Blair reuniting
Weirdest Moment: Jenny as a Queen. She's mean!
