Private Practice: "A Death in the Family" (03x01)

After last season's amazing and horrifying finale, everyone wondered if Violet and the baby would make it. And this was the topic the first episode dealt with.
The story was told in two time zones.
Now: Violet was found by Pete and the baby was gone and they brought her to the hospital. Addison tried to save her life but it was very difficult. Meanwhile, Pete, Sheldon and Cooper worried about her - and fought a lot. i love that they still keep Sheldon around, because he still might be the father of the baby. Anyway, they were all very worried, when suddenly the crazy woman appears, holding Violets baby. They manage to take it away from her and then it turns out that the little baby has also some health problems. Violet struggles to safe them both, but in the end, she succeeds. She has also some problems with Naomi, who quit the practice - and quit on her, and Addison now has to keep the family together. Naomi and Sam don't talk about what happened before, Dell has to care for his little daughter now, but he doesn't know how, and in the end, Violet wakes up and can look at her baby for the first time.
Nine years ago: In flashbacks, Pete remembers the time he joined the practice. His wife, who he hated, just died and Naomi and Sam were looking for another doctor. Pete was their friend, but before he could join, he had to talk to Violet. After some time he admitted that he was glad his wife died and horrified that he thought like that and Violet then said Pete could join the practice. It was interesting to see the origins of the practice and how they all came together, but I kinda felt like they were saying: Pete and Violet had a connection back then and now they're together and it's all wonderful. I like them as a couple, but not as a long-term-couple. I really want him back with Addison and Cooper with Violet. Well, but noone listens to me ;)
Anyway, I liked the episode, it was a good start. A alot of surgery and dramatic moments, but there's definetly potential for this season. Can't wait to see how Violet deals with the whole thing.

Best Moment: The end: Violet holding the baby and everyone crying.
Weirdest Moment: Noone mentioned what happened to the woman who stole Violet's baby. Hope that gets a solution soon.

Sheldon: "We. WE are in love with Violet. We are the possible father of her baby. We are the ones who ignored her concerns about Katie. WE, you smug, arrogant bastard!"
Pete: "But I'm the one she chose."
