Blair, Chuck and Serena: Chuck's hotel was the place where Trip's election party was taking place and although Serena recently had a fight with both Blair and Nate, she wanted tickets for her client and fake boyfriend, Olivia's ex. Because somehow getting him photographed with politicians would be good for him. And Blair tried to find a new friend now she and Serena were on the outs. She found a girl named Brandeis, but she then turned out to be a call girl. That was kinda funny, but also sad because Serena and Blair just kept fighting. Serena shoved Blair in a cake, Blair outed Serena's fake boyfriend as a drunk and eventually they realized that they were just very different. Serena was sad and quit her job, but then she returned to her old ways: Flirting with Trip, tss tss. Blair was also sad and just snuggled in bed with Chuck. Cute cute cute.
Nate, Vanessa and Trip: The main-story this week was a little confusing. Trip needed more votes, so it was pretty handy that a man fell in the Hudson and Trip saved him. Vanessa filmed it and then found out that it was fake. She wanted to sell her material to NY1, but told Nate before she did that. Nate, suspecting his grand-father, set Vanessa up and the material was not shown in time. Vanessa found out, was pissed (and annoying, as always) and sold the amterial anyway. Nate then told everyone he was the one to organize the hoax, but was sure it was the grandfather. Eventually it turned out to be Trip's wife. Cunning. It was mildly interesting, but a little out there.
Dan and Olivia: And finally, in a totally uninteresting side-story, Olivia went on the Jimmy Fallon show and apparently said something embarrassing. She then tried to hide it from him, by forcing him to play scrabble with the sick Jenny (no racoon-make-up this week), but he eventually found out. Apparently, on their first date, he came back from the toilet with his hirt backwards and told her a spider crawled inside his shirt. In reality, he was sweating and so he took off his shirt. He stormed out of the apartment, but not because he was mad, but because he had forgotten their anniversary and wanted to be prepare. Blah side-story. Unnecessary.
All in all, this was a decent episode. I liked Blair and Serena's fight. They're very funny when they fight.
Best Moment: Chuck and Blair at the end on the bed.
Weirdest Moment: Blair vs. the Cake
Favourite Quotes:
Serena: "Let me guess, you want to go upstairs and see if two blondes make a right?"
Chuck: "Did you ever find Brandeis?"
Blair: "Yes. We're not friends anymore. That's okay. I have you. That's all I need."
Chuck: "The reason Blair attacked you is because she misses you. After 18 years, you can't read Waldorf subtext?"
Serena: "I shouldn't have to. If that's how she feels then she should just tell me. It's the mature thing to do."
Chuck: "This coming from someone who just pushed their best friend into a cake."
