But first things first: The case. A competitive gamer’s body was discovered in a grease truck and it got only grosser from there. BTW: I think the cases are peculiarly bizarre recently. I’m currently reading Kathy Reich’s novels and they are not as bizarre there as in this show.
But anyway, Brennan and Booth have to figure out who murdered the gamer who apparently got a perfect game of a game that was basically Pong. The gamer made a lot of money from advertising etc and that threw suspicion on the ones he had beaten. Brennan and Booth thought for a whole while that it was his biggest rival, but in the end it turned out to be completely different: The dead man had filmed an autistic boy whose only joy the game was and his father then killed the gamer because he ripped of his son. It was a little out there and I think I remember a case on another show that was like that. But it all made sense in the end.
Meanwhile, Hodgins, Sweets and Fischer took turns waiting in line for the premiere of Avatar. It was funny to see them trying to manage their work and the waiting in line. But not only did their job interfere, but they also met a cute girl: Hodgins and Sweets were smitten and Hodgins even went with her in her tent, but eventually Fischer got the girl. Oh, I just love that guy and his sarcastic world view. Hopefully him getting laid won’t change that: But as Hodgins – and we – found out: He has had sex with a hundred women, so that didn’t cheer him up. I loved that part.
All in all, it was a good episode; a little odd at times but pretty funny. And gross. Don’t forget that. Gross.
Best Moment: Almost everything with Fischer.
Weirdest Moment: Sweets cheating on Daisy. Poor girl. And not like Sweets.
Favourite Quote:
Cam: “Are you out of breath, Mr. Fischer?”
Fischer: “No, I’m just happy I’m breathing. Never sure when that luxury will end.”
Current Mood: Weirded out.
