Bones: "The Goop on the Girl" (05x10)

I guess this is one of the episodes that had been spoilered without end and you think you know what is going to happen. Well, I was expecting a little more, a little more magic perhaps, but all in all it was a very good episode.
The first thing that is important: They blew up Santa Claus. Or rather a man dressed in a costume who tried to rob a bank dressed as Santa. And Booth and Brennan soon found out that the reason he blew up was because a one-man radio station was on the same frequency as the bomber. But why was he even wearing a bomb? Turns out that a couple of bank-robbers tied a bomb to his back and forced him to go in the bank. The blew-up was merely coincidentally and the poor guy was just a handyman, living with his mother. The case was not as interesting as it could have been, but the really good stuff was the solution: Brennan was so sorry that the mother’s only son had died that she went to the funeral, with Booth (who as very cute to notice that) and the whole Jeffersonian gang. I loved that Brennan valued this life and it was very moving. I especially liked the montage with the radio guy telling everyone that he was sorry he blew up the other guy and wishing them all a Merry Christmas. I almost cried because it was so real and honest. Wonderful.
This all tied in with the second storyline. Brennan’s father was back and he brought Margaret, a distant cousin, played by Emily Deschanel’s sister Zooey. The cousin was kinda odd, quoting Benjamin Franklin all the time and originally, Brennan just sticked to her plan: Spending Christmas out of the country. But then Booth got to know about the cousin and decided they should all spent Christmas together. And in the end, they did. Brennan and Booth, Brennan’s cousin and father, Cam, Hodgins and Angela and Sweets and Daisy. They were all like a big family and I loved when they were all saying grace, how Both and Brennan peeped at each other. Generally, there were a lot of cute Brennan-Booth moments this episode, mainly because the Santa exploded all over Booth and Brennan had to undress him because his clothes were evidence. It was perfectly awkward and funny and sexy. Loved it.
All in all, this was a very good episode and despite the fact that I expected even more, it was moving, funny and just one very good Christmas episode.
Can’t wait for Bones to return and then especially for the 100th episode. This is going to be great.

Best Moment: Brennan undressing Booth.
Weirdest Moment: Pretty much everything Margaret said. Very weird girl.
