Bones: "The Dentist in the Ditch" (05x13)

Nigel-Murray, my second-favourite intern is back this week and he helps solve the case of a sceleton found on a civil war battle ground.
The sceleton turned out to be not ancient but in fact that of a dentist who had been missing for some time. Booth and Brennan visit the dead man's house and find his contractor making himself at home. The dead man owed him money, but he points them at the dentist's boyfriend. They also suspected that there might have been bad blood in the dead man's football team because he was gay, but that was not true either. In the end, the contractor was the killer. He was stealing building material from the victim and when he got confronted yb him, he killed him by accident. Just like that. The case was kinda interesting, but it felt a little contrived.
In a little sub-plot, Nigel Murray tried to get Brennan's attention by working extra-hard and Cam took pity with him as he really needed Brennan to say he did good work. Brennan didn't get it at first, but eventually she - sort of - complimented him. He will have to live with this compliment for a long time. Funny side-story.
The other main storyline this episode was with Booth brother Jared who returned and had a little surprise: He was engaged to a young Indian woman. Booth was, of course, overprotective and a little worried that everything might go too fast, so he run a background check on the girl. He found out that she used to be an escort and so he tried to talk his brother out of marrying her. Jared was of course pissed, but eventually Booth got it together and realized that he was overprotective. And Bones was the one who made him see that. I loved how she told him that he was always the one who said that love conquers all. And the toast at the end of the episode was just so sweet. Two couples having drinks and the way Booth and Brennan looked at each other. Swoon...
All in all, this was a nice episode with a good case. The main reason I loved it though was the Brennan-Booth moments. Would have loved if someone had mentioned the kiss, but maybe later. Next week, we get the last episode until April 1st, so I'm looking forward to it.

Best Moment: Brennan's toast: Speaking about love.
Weirdest Moment: Rhubarb soup.
Favourite Quote:
Nigel-Murray: "Are you okay Dr. Saroyan?"
Cam: "I'm itchy all over. I'm gonna burn these clothes. Maybe my hair."

Current Mood: Swoon
