House: "Lockdown" (06x17)

Apparently, this was the first episode Hugh Laurie directed and I really liked it. It was a non-formulaic episode as the hospital was put on lock-down because a baby was missing.
A new-born baby can't be found and Cuddy puts the whole hospital in lock-down, which means that everyone has to stay where they are. Fortunately, all get paired up, so it's not as boring as it could be.
Foreman and Taub get locked in the storage closet where they read the personnel files. Funny that House even thought about that and changed the info in his personnel file. So, Taub and Foreman learned more about each other. Foreman had faked a lab test, Taub thought his file was too boring. So, they got stoned to know how it was to feel like House. That was very funny, although a little much when they started hitting each other. But they bonded, which was kinda cute.
Thirteen and Wilson got locked in the cafeteria and decided to play truth or dare. Wilson had to steal a dollar which was hilarious, Thirteen showed her breasts and we learned that Wilson was going out with his ex-wife, Sam and 13 never told her father she was sick or bisexual. Loved their little talk. They should do more about it.
Chase got locked in with his future ex-wife Cameron. They started talking, then fighting and Cameron wasn't even sure she ever loved him. Then they slept with each other and said good-bye. I remembered how cute they are but I'm also kinda happy this is over. Cameron is just plain annyoig. She can't maker her mind up but everyone else is evil. At least in the last two seasons it was like that.
Finally, House was locked in with a dying patient whose case he didn't take. He talked with him about death, dying and regrets. It was very moving and House showed glimpses of humanity. I loved how much he has changed.
Eventually, Cuddy found out that a nurse who had partial seizures put the child in a laundry basket and the lock-down ended. All in all, it was a very good episode and a successful debut for Hugh Laurie. I like his style.
