This one is going to be rather short as I’m not that attached to Castle yet and a little preoccupied with my other finales (good: House, Grey’s Anatomy; sad: Gossip Girl, Bones). But among those dramatic finales, Castle proved to be exactly what I expect from a finale. Nothing more and nothing less.
The case was interesting. A spy was murdered and it turned out that he wasn’t a real spy but on a “spy venture” (can I do one of those btw?). Castle and Becket tried to find out who killed him but were a little preoccupied with private matters. Castle had invited Becket to his house in the Hamptons, but Becket wanted to go on holiday with her boyfriend. Castle was still sulking, but tried to move on. Everyone told him that Becket was a “bad” influence for him.
Meanwhile, Esposito told Becket that Castle didn’t just stick around for the cases and Becket finally saw that Castle liked her. Castle then decided that this case was to be his last and Becket was very hurt. BTW, why didn’t he see that? He sees everything.
Anyway, the case was solved, the lover’s husband did it, classic, and Castle said goodbye with a little party. Becket then finally decided to break it off with her boyfriend but the moment she wanted to tell Castle he told her he had reconnected with his ex-wife. Poor Becket. The moment she admits she has feelings, she gets hurt.
All in all, it was pretty cleat that they couldn’t get them together, but I think they solved it quite nicely. Keep us guessing and tuning in next season. I’m intrigued and wonder what will happen next season. All in all, a good finale for my newest show.
Best Moment: Kate's ready to admit she likes Castle.
Weirdest Moment: Those aren't real euros!!!
Favourite Quote:
Castle: "According to this, half the kids in your building will be 16 and 17 year old boys."
Alexis: "Relax, dad. Each floor has a resident advisor who's 21."
Castle: "Oh, so the one person in charge is conveniently old enough to buy alcohol?"
