Serena and Carter: It was nice while it lasted, but this relationship already seems to be over. At the beginning of the episode, they were in a happy bliss (eating toaster strudles), but then Serena found out that the Buckleys were after Carter. And he told her that he promised to marry Bree's cousin (because he was in debt), but then ran off. Serena was shocked, but still wanted him to stay. He on the other hand decided to face his enemies and took off with Bree's burly cousins. Wonder if he will come back because I started to like that guy.
Bree and Nate: Again: Over after only five episodes. Fine by me, I didn't like her anway. But somehow this story was weird. So, at first she just wants to play him, but then she likes him, and then she just wanted to use him? Also, did she think: "Oh, I'll date someone from New York cuz he will know Carter Baizen?" The only good moment involving her was when Chuck, Blair, Nate and her went out to dinner. Blair was right to be suspicious and I loved her being mean to Bree.
Rufus, Lily, the other Humphreys and Van der Woodsens:
Rufus and Lily were still on the outs because Serena didn't go to Brown and Lily thought it was all Rufus fault. Their chidren tried to reconcile them (Jenny and Eric have something to do at last), but it doesn't really work. Rufus spents the night at his appartment, but he and Lily stumble over the same (!) photograph of them. Yeah, they don't have another one. Anyway, they then reconcile and decide to move the wedding to the next day. Serena, Blair, Jenny and the new mean girls help organise the wedding and eventually all is ready for Lily to walk down the aisle. But...
Scott, Georgina and Vanessa: It wouldn't be Gossip Girl, if there wasn't any drama. Georgina, who had vanished to Boston and had discovered that Scott was Rufus and Lily's son, returned and wanted Vanessa to help her get Dan back. When that didn't work, because he was happy with Olivia (chatting on a laptob in the streets, yeah right ;) ) she decided to destroy Lily and Rufus' wedding. She called Scott who came to the wedding and there, Georgina told them that he was their son. She then vanished again and was last seen in a bar where a Russian prince wanted to take her to his country (Well, it was Dorota's boyfriend, teeheehee). Rufus and Lily were of course surprised, but eventualy reconciled with Scott on a bus stop. Kinda moving. They then got married with all their children (six, counting Chuck) and Blair present: I love those two and their stoy. Maybe now they can be happy.
Chuck (and Blair): Little happened with those two except for the lunch meeting I mentioned above and Chuck's attempts to take Carter down. He bribed him with a plane ticket again to get him out of town, but didn't succeed. There was a cute little dancing scene at the wedding, but hopefully there'll be more next week. Although: Chuck will kiss a guy...
All in all, it was pretty damn great, except for some inconsistencies and the fact that the Bree-Nste, Serena-Carter, Georgina, and Scott-storylines al ended tonight. Can't wait for the new ones, but enjoyed these.
Best Moment: Dorota taking Georgina down. Funny and classic.
Weirdest Moment: Of course Lily would have a wedding photo of her and her husband and his face is hidden. Everybody's got one of those.
Favourite Quote:
Georgina: "Why won't he respond to any of my calls or my texts or my animated e-cards?"
Vanessa: "Are you serious?"
Georgina: "The last one I sent him was this adorable singing dog."
