This week on Gossip Girl: The (very boring) threesome, Blair and Serena make up and split again,
Jenny, Eric, Blair (Nate also played a part): This week's main event was the big cotillon ball. (Remember two years ago? Chuck, Blair, Nate and all of that. Good times. )It was Jenny's turn to go and the little Queen J wanted to prove to the whole Upper East Side that she was now the ruling Queen. Thus, she needed the perfect date and looked everywhere. Eric, who was still mad, but still has a good heart offered Jonathan, his boyfriend, but schemed behinf her back. A girl originally offered to get Jenny THE hot guy of the UES, but Eric just answered for Jenny. Tststs. Jenny found out and was furious. She then blew off Jonathan and wanted to go with the hot guy. She also blew off Blair who wanted to help her as she still wasn't popluar at NYU. And Blair was pissed. She schemed with Eric to transform the girl who offered to fix up Jenny in a queen and got her the date Jenny wanted. And voilà: Jenny didn't have a date. This was of course pretty embarassing, but Jenny had still some tricks up her invisible sleeve: She jsut asked Nate who happened to be ther (WHY? Don't ask me) and was the queen of queens. And Eric? Well, his plan to get Jenny back to normal didn't succed, but he vowed to never give up. His boyfriend on the other hand did: He split up. Bye bye Jonathan. Seldomly seen and no real storyline. We won't miss you.
Blair, Serena and Chuck: Chuck and Nate celebrated a "lost weekend" (but not on screen), while Blair and Serena were still fighting. blair was uber-chirpy and Chuck realized he needed to do something to get them back to talking. he locked them in an elevator and they talked. It was clear that they had different lives now, Blair with boyfriend and studying and Serena partying and job-hopping. And when almost everything was forgiven, Serena admitted she had a crush on Trip van der Bilt. Blair warned her not to cross that line, and Serena semeingly agreed. (BTW: Loved Chuck when he said: I won't count a kiss as cheating). Blair and Serena decided to go celebrate their renewed friendship and Serena went to Trip's office in the middle of the night to resign. there was a little moment between Trip and her and Blair saw that. She was furious and ther jsut-renewed friendwhip was already at risk again. We'll see how that works out. Oh,and Serena will keep working there. Fantastic. Love when Serena and Blair are fighting and Chuck's attempt to repair the friendship. But Trip and Serena? Please no.
Dan, Olivia and Vanessa: Olivia got a movie offer and considered leaving college. Dan was sad, but understood and had a plan: There was this list of twenty things to do before you leave college and he and Vanessa decided to convince Olivia to do them all with them. They then went to keg parties and bars and did almost everything on the list, except for number 20: Do a threesome. And as they were all pretty drunk (or high or just Vanessa), they started giggling and then kissing. And that was pretty much it. A lot of fuss about nothing. But apparently there will be more next week. I kinda thought that this storyline was kinda forced and merely there to shock (or to start a Vanessa-Dan storyline.)
All in all, it was a decent episode. The threesome was overhyped, the cotillion was kinda cool and I loved Serena and Blair fighting and making up. But I hope ther's some drama about the threesome next week.
Best Moment: Nate walking in and all the ladies staring. In your dreams, manbangs.Weirdest Moment: Trip and Serena. Don't like them.
Favourite Quote:
Blair: "Don't get too lost, Bass."
