The case this week mirrored the decision Cameron and Chase had to make after he told her he had killed Dibala. The patient was a porn star with a porn star as a wife and both seemed to be okay with their immorality. Cameron was – who’d have thought it – angry with the patient and told her husband she was forgiving him because he was feeling guilty. Their plan was to leave Princeton Plainsboro and start new somewhere else. But that didn’t sit well with House and after some meddling, Chase told Cameron that he wasn’t really sorry. But more on that later.
The case proved to be quite interesting. HE had nose-bleeds and sensitivity to light and at first everyone blamed his lifestyle. (Btw., I loved that House just kept watching porn for research purposes) They found out that he had worms and treated him for that but that made him only worse. Eventually he ha a disease rooted in his childhood where his overprotective mother hadn’t let him play outside and so he was oversensitive to germs.
But the patient was side-lined by the drama concerning House and the team. As already mentioned, Chase had told his big secret to Cameron and then that wasn’t really sorry. In a heart-breaking scene, Cameron then told House that she was leaving Chase and the team. For the first time ever, she told House that she had loved him and that she was sorry that he and Chase were so corrupted that they thought murder was okay. And then she was out the door. I was actually pretty sad to see her go. It has been six years and when she wasn’t nagging, she was actually kinda fun. I enjoyed her relationship with house in the first season and I even enjoy more that the whole Hameron vs. Huddy is now over. I think she will be back, but that will take some time. The only thing that bothers me is that House didn’t seem to bother that Cameron was gone.
Okay, he was a little preoccupied with getting his reluctant old new team together again. It was funny to see House just assume that they wanted to work for him – which they did and so they all returned in the end.
Finally, there was this thing with Cuddy. She seemed to be happy with Lucas and House couldn’t even look at her. She was worried he’d destroy her relationship, but he actually did nothing. It was good to see Cuddy happy for a change. And this storyline is actually very real and interesting: Every normal woman would try to get away from this toxic relationship and try out a “normal guy”. But there won’t be a happily ever after. For sure.
All in all, this was an interesting episode and although Cameron-centric, I loved it. Next week will deal more with the Cuddy-Lucas-House triangle. Can’t wait.
Best Moment: Cameron telling House she was in love with him. OMG.
Weirdest Moment: Cuddy and Lucas on the couch. She looks happy, but it still feels wrong.
